How I make money
Termite Registry is a free site, and running it costs money. This page says where the money comes from, in plain terms.
Sponsored listings and advertising
This website may contain sponsored links, paid listings and advertising. Companies can pay to appear in the directory and to appear higher in it, and that payment can affect where a company shows up on a page. Where a listing is sponsored, it is labelled.
Referral fees
If you ask to be connected to a termite company through this site, I may be paid a referral fee by that company. It costs you nothing extra, and you are never obliged to use anybody I put in front of you.
What a listing does not mean
A listing is not a recommendation you should treat as vetting. I have not inspected these companies, I have not checked their work, and I do not stand behind it. The name of this site sounds official. It isn't, and I'm not going to trade on the confusion.
Where a licence number appears next to a company, it came off that state's own public register on the date shown, and you can look it up yourself. That is a fact about a record, not a judgement about the company.
Check anybody before you hire them
Whoever you call, from this site or anywhere else, look them up on your state's licensing board first and get more than one quote. My guide to vetting a pest control company walks through how, and it costs nothing.
If you think something on this site contradicts anything above, tell me — that's exactly the sort of thing I publish a correction for.
